Summary 

The Silver Classic program offers DofE participants of all levels of experience, whether progressing from bronze or direct entry, the greatest opportunity for a successful and positive experience on their qualifying expedition. The program length enables our experienced and passionate instructional team time to support and develop participants throughout the training, which allows them to partake in qualifying with as much knowledge and confidence as possible. 

We are great believers in facilitating success and having opportunities for all participants to discuss and hopefully overcome any challenges they may face prior and during the qualifying expedition.

Duration: 

• Training: 1 day in school training - 2 days outdoors practice exped
• Assessment: 3 days with 2 night camping

Location:

We have a range of locations depending on your needs and our experienced team has knowledge of many areas across the UK   

Ratios:

Our Silver Classic is run on a 1:7 ratio for training days and 1:14 ratio for the assessment expedition.

Overnight duties:

Overnight pastoral cover can be arranged on request at an additional cost.

• Maps and compasses
• Group first aid kit
• Tents
• Stoves and fuel
• A tracker per team on assessment
• Hi-vis jackets for road safety
