One of our most popular courses takes a no nonsense approach to first aid, we remove the medical jargon and have packed the course with practical activities. This course is designed to prepare you for emergency first aid and the more common injuries and illnesses found in the outdoor environment as well as how to protect and manage casualty until help arrives. All designed to give you confidence as a leader within the outdoors.

This first aid course is also open to anyone looking for further advance thier own first aid knowledge 

Kit needed:

Just a note pad, pen and some lunch. All kit and refreshments are provided!

Itinerary:

Our start time and meeting point is 9:30am at our centre. Here we will brief you on the days activity and get to know eachother whilst having a brew and biscuit. Wear clothes that will be comfortable in all day and moving around in. We will aim to be finished by 5:30pm both days. 

How to book:

To book its super simple, we have 'Open Courses' which run regularly throughout the year on set dates. Just select which date works for you and book online below. 

If these dates don't suit, then you can add a new 'Open Course' to be run on a date which suits you better! This will become a new 'Open Course' and will populate a new date on to our 'open course' list and others can join in.  

If you'd rather have us all to yourself, select 'Book Privately' and we will run this course completely private and bespoke to you, on the date you request. We simply add a small 'private booking fee' (£20pp) and need a minimum of 4 people to book.

If you want us to come to you, have a suitable taining space and a team of people to train we are always happy to travel. Get in touch and we can make sure you have the right facilities and are selecting the right course for you.

FAQ's

We understand this is a very tricky time for everyone! If for any reason you can't make a course with us because of COVID then don't panic. We will guarantee you space on any future course! We have said to everyone we will honour any bookings made, which have been affected by the pandemic into the foreseeable future with no expiry date. 

If your qualification requires you to have a 2 day (16hr) this course meets the needs outlines by the main NGBs we have checked; Mountain Training, British Canoeing, MIAS, etc. If you have any concerns or want to confirm specifics please get in touch.

Your certificate will last for 3 years, if you sign up to our website you will be reminded when you are due for renewal.

All our staff are qualified and assessed by the Mountain Training Association and have years of coaching and instructing experience and all participants are covered for all activities via our public liability insurance.
